[Pepita] noun - pronouced "Pe-pee-tuh"
Comes from the French “La Pépite” !
Which means literally “a Gold Nugget”
Theo & Melanie both went to study Pastry in France, they learned all the classics and developed essential skills such as ... how to chop up a crate of apples in record time, and all that jazz.
Melanie’s nickname in Pastry School was “La pépite”, a cute little name for a bubbly and creative Pastry chef.
We had to keep that name because it summarises well what we are about.
We are a hidden gem in Sydney’s northern beaches, a little Ice cream treasure.
